Once again it is back to 85 degree cafe for breakfast. After that we went to MacDonald's to check out the Black Sesame McFlurry which seems to be only available in Taiwan. It is certainty a refreshing and tasty experience! MacDonald's has done a good job here in adding local flavor to its menu.
We had lunch at the food court in 远东百货 Far Eastern Department Store opposite our hotel. We had a satisfying Teriyaki Chicken meal. No wonder Taiwan is a foodie haven as you can find good food where ever you are.
We took the metro to Taipei station and transferred via Kuo Kwang bus to the airport. Before going to the airport, we went to 一之軒 IJYSHENG at Taipei station to get a box of Mochi. The Mochi is awesome and not too be missed. Every single piece is soft, tender and filled with generous amount of paste that oozes with every bite.
Generally the travel time from Ximending to the airport is about an hour or less. After checking in, we settled at the airport lounge where we had some quick bites before the flight. The airport lounge which we went to is known as The More and we had steam buns, braised pork rice, miso soup and Meiji Ice Cream.
It has been a wonderful and fruitful trip. We will certainty return to Taiwan in the future.
