Today we will be visiting 大溪花海农场 Ta Shee Blooming Oasis. The farm is in Taoyuan and requires a fair amount of travelling. After about 2 hours of travel time and 2 buses, we arrived at the farm.
We had lunch at the restaurant before exploring the farm. We ordered the braised beef and the mini hotpot set. The Osmanthus tea included with the set meal is very refreshing and has a sweet and fragrant aftertaste.
The type of flowers you see at the farm will depend on the season when you visit the farm. We could still see some lavender at this time of the year.
After that, we went back to Ximending to chill out at Shark Bites Toast cafe. We ordered a ice cream waffle, which was ordinary and yet sufficient to satisfy our sweet tooth.
Next we headed to 士林夜市 Shilin Night Market for our dinner. This time round, we went to the food court at the basement instead of the usual street stalls.
We ordered seafood comprising Oyster Omelette, Crispy Crabs, Scallops and Sotong Ball Soup. And not forgetting Taiwan Beer to complement the meal. After the abundance of food, we decided to head back to the hotel to relax. It is great to have a combination of good food and sightseeing during travel.
