The buffet breakfast provided by In House Hotel had a good mix of continental and Asian selection. After a filling breakfast, we proceed to explore Ximending. Ximending is a place that is vibrant and full of energy. We could feel the good vibes as we wandered in the area. There are a lot of shops around to browse and a lot of nice food to try.
We had our lunch at 八方雲集 where we ordered pan fried gyoza and cuttlefish ball soup. They have different flavors for the gyoza. Every piece was fried to a crispy golden brown and filled with succulent meat and vegetables.The cuttlefish ball was soft and the flavor of the cuttlefish exuded with every bite. 
After we have replenished our energy, we continued to stroll along the streets. The stream of people grew steadily as the day turned into evening.
We had made a reservation at the popular mala steamboat restaurant for our dinner earlier. The restaurant is located in the same street as our accommodation and can be reached in a few minutes walk. The restaurant has a keen following for a good reason. The black Angus beef and scallops were our favorites. We concluded our feast with the selection of Movenpick and Haagen-Dazs ice cream.
After a satisfactory meal, we walked around Ximending to soak in the atmosphere and also to allow the food to digest. After that, we went back to our hotel and packed our bags for departure the next day. We had lots of fun, food and sightseeing during this trip and certainty look forward to coming back for more!
