Taiwan Trip 2015 Day 1

 For this trip to Taiwan, we traveled via Scoot. Although Scoot is a budget airline, the seats are surprisingly very comfortable and spacious. We bought the flybageat tickets which include checked luggage and meals on board. We ordered Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Creamy Pasta with Chicken Sausage. 

After about 5 hours of flight, we reached Taiwan. Upon clearing immigration, we went to the Telecom booth to get a data SIM card from Chunghwa. The Internet connection is good and fast. After that we boarded a KuoGuang Bus to Taipei station and hopped on metro to CityInn hotel at Ximending.

The location of the hotel is good as it is a few minutes from the metro. However it will be better if the size of the room is bigger and if breakfast is served. We got a room with a window which allowed us to check the weather condition visually before we headed out each day. The weather can change very quickly and we are glad that we are blessed with a nice cool weather during our trip.

The atmosphere at Ximending is great and it is bursting with people on the streets. There are a lot of fashion shops and cafes in this area. We had dinner at 八方云集 and their fried dumpling is simply delicious. It really feels great to be back in Taiwan!
