We took an early morning flight from Singapore to Seoul and arrived at Incheon Airport in about 6 hours. After that we traveled to Gimpo Airport to catch our connecting flight to Jeju. Although we had catered about 3 hours for the transit, it was still quite a rush as the immigration clearance at Incheon took longer time than expected.
We flew via Jeju Air and reached Jeju in about an hour. We took a taxi to Shilla Stay Hotel where we would be staying for the next couple of days. There was a long queue at the taxi stand and we waited for more than half an hour before our turn. Luckily it took less than 10 minutes to reach our accommodation.
The hotel was located in Jeju city with numerous cafes and restaurants within its proximity. The room was of decent size and came equipped with the usual amenities. The hotel also provided free parking facilities at its basement levels. This was important for us as we intend to rent a car to travel around the island.
We settled for a quick dinner at Paris Baguette which was a popular Korean cafe. The cafe had a good selection of quality bakery items at reasonable prices.
