Thailand Trip Day 7 : Bangkok MBK & Sukhumvit Night Market

MBK Center also known as Mahboonkrong was a huge shopping complex. It consisted of 8 levels with about 2,000 shops. Shops providing similar services were grouped together and located at designated levels. Exploring the mall was like finding our way around a maze. However it was worth the time and effort as we bought a lot of our stuffs here.

Besides shopping, there were many choices for food too. The food court in particular had many stalls offering great food at a fraction of the price as compared to restaurants. The noodles which we had were delicious and certainly exceeded our expectations.

We went to Mister Donut for our dessert. The donuts were freshly baked at the outlet. While enjoying our desserts, we watched the chef preparing a fresh set of donuts in the kitchen through the glass window.
After some intense shopping at MBK, we went for foot massage at Chang located at Siam Square Soi 6. Chang only served walk in customers and did not take in reservations. As the outlet was very popular, there could be some waiting time during peak periods. Fortunately there were available slots and we were able to start our massage immediately. The pressure exerted was just nice and applied at the right spots. Within a short span of an hour, our aches disappeared and we felt rejuvenated after the massage.
We decided to venture to the Sukhumvit Night Market for dinner. The night market was located at Sukhumvit Soi 38 and easily accessible via Thong Lo BTS.
There was a stall at the far end of the street which served nice wanton noodle. The wanton noodle was available in various flavors. We ordered a bowl with crab meat and another bowl with roast pork. Both were delicious and left us craving for more. However, we decided to save some room for dessert.

For dessert, we ordered the mango sticky rice from Ning's mango stall. While the mango was fresh and juicy, we found the sticky rice too sweet for our liking.
After our dinner, we went back to the hotel to pack our stuff as we would be flying back the next day. It was a good trip with a excellent mix of island hopping, city shopping, great food and fine massage.
