Thailand Trip Day 5 : Bangkok Siam Square

Bangkok Siam BTS
We booked a mini van to bring us from the resort to the airport. It was a good deal at 150 THB per person. We flew from Krabi to Bangkok via Thai Airways for the second part of our trip. During the one hour flight, we were served light refreshments.

Upon arrival and retrieval of our luggage, we proceed to board the Airport Rail Link and BTS to our accommodation. We stayed at Holiday Inn Express which was conveniently located near the National Stadium BTS. The room was clean and relatively well maintained. We had an nice view that overlooked the stadium.

From our hotel, it was an easy walk of around ten minutes to Siam Square area. We had lunch at White Flower Factory located at Siam Square One. The restaurant had a contemporary interior decor and nice ambiance. Most importantly it served great Thai cuisine.

We went to After You cafe for dessert. We ordered the Matcha Honey Toast and Chocolate Lava along with a cup of cappuccino. The toast was very soft and went well with the green tea flavored ice cream and honey topping. The chocolate lava cake was served with warm chocolate filling along with ice cream and strawberry chunks.

After spending some time window shopping around the area, we had dinner at Inter Restaurant located at Siam Square 9. While the restaurant seemed to be popular with the locals, the food did not really tingle our taste buds. It was just okay for a decent meal.
