It was late evening when we arrived at Krabi. We took a cab from the airport to Aonang at a cost of 600 THB and the journey was around half an hour. Before bringing us to the hotel, the cab driver stopped at a tour agency. We did not sign up anything as we thought it was better to compare offers from other agencies.
We stayed at Aonang Cliff View Resort. The resort was conveniently located along the main street where there were many restaurants, massage centres and convenient stores nearby. The walk to the beach took about 5 minutes. The resort itself was asthetically designed and it extended upwards along the sloping landscape. Fortunately there were lifts that connect from the hotel lobby to the accommodation area. Our room was located on the upper floors where we had a great view of the cliff and sea.
We had dinner at Massaman which served great Thai food at very affordable prices.
