This morning we took a longtail boat to Poda Island. The island was beautiful with pristine clear water and soft white sands. Unlike the beaches which we had visited the day before, the island was not crowded and we had a huge stretch of beach for ourselves.
We could not find any suitable places with shade so we create a makeshift shelter with our umbrella. It was blissfully peaceful as we rested under the shade, gazing at the shimmering sea and listening to the rolling waves. There were no cafes on the island, hence we had to rely on the water and bread which we had brought along.
The same boatman came back at the appointed time to fetch us back to Aonang.
On the way back to the resort, we came across a row of food stalls along the stretch of road between Nopparat Thara Beach and Aonang beach. We stopped by one of the stalls to get some coconut ice cream to keep cool under the blistering heat. The ice cream was delicious and we could taste the rich coconut flavor with every mouthful. The ice cream also came with juicy coconut meat and peanut toppings.
After washing up at the resort, we went to Attarak for a massage. Before the massage, we were treated to a welcome drink followed by a foot bath. The massage was done in a compartment separated by curtains. It would be great if they provided private rooms. Nevertheless the bed and pillow were soft and very comfortable to rest on. The masseuses that were assigned were very professional and the massage was very relaxing and soothing.
