Europe Trip Day 4 : Barcelona - Barceloneta Beach & Gothic Quarters

Barceloneta Beach
We decided to explore Barceloneta beach today. We took the metro and alighted at Barceloneta. From the station, we strolled for about 10 minutes before reaching the shore. There was not much sun at this time of the year and hence the beach was quite deserted when we were there.
Next we went to check out the Gothic Quarters. The Gothic Quarter is the center of the old city of Barcelona. Many of the buildings in this area are dated to the Medieval times and the architecture are very different from what we had seen in the last couple of days.

While exploring the Barcelona city, we chanced upon the El Mos cafe where we stopped by for a coffee break. The cheese cake and muffin were pretty good.

We had dinner at Paella del Arte cafe located at the adjacent building next to Casa Mila. We ordered some tapas and seafood paella. After a fulfilling meal, we went back to the hotel to retire the night. Barcelona is a city filled with fascinating architecture and good food and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves while exploring the city.
