We started the day with breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast was good and had a sufficient variety of choices.
We took the metro to travel to Park Guell. Park Guell was a recognized artistic monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park was beautifully designed by Gaudi and offered a good vantage view of Barcelona. The best way to get to this place was to take the metro to Lesseps, followed by the escalator up the hill.
Next, we took the metro to travel to Passeig de Gràcia where we visited Casa Batllo. Casa Batllo was another masterpiece by Gaudi. Not only was the facade of the building fascinating, the interior of the building was equally awesome. We got the videoguide which made use of augmented reality to provide interesting insights on the various architectural designs. We also saw a hologram of the famed architect Antoni Gaudi.
After an interesting day exploring Gaudi's masterpieces in Barcelona, we went to Cervecería Catalana for dinner. They served an assortment of delicious tapas. Tapas is another great local specialty to try when in Barcelona.
