Europe Trip Day 6 : Florence Duomo

The next day, we checked out of the hotel and took a train to our next destination Florence. The journey was around an hour and thirty minutes. We walked to our hotel Cerretani Firenze Mgallery which as a short distance from the train station. The hotel is conveniently located in Florence with lots of attraction and food around it.

After checking in the hotel, we went to the Lorenzo de' Medici Restaurant which is near our hotel to have our lunch. While the food was nothing to shout about, it was decent enough to fill our tummy.

Next we went to explore the Florence Duomo which we could stroll to easily from our hotel. Indeed, the city of Florence is so compact that one could easily travel on foot to most of the places of attraction. We were impressed by the beautiful white facade of the Duomo. The Duomo was illuminated at night and looked just as stunning as during the day.

While the exterior of the cathedral was impressive, the interior was a bit underwhelming. Nevertheless we checked out the interior of the dome which was painted with a representation of The Last Judgment.
